Mesaritikos

Messaritikos is a traditional dance originating from Kythera, also known as Tsirigo. It is a circular dance, in which men and women participate, with influences from Crete. This dance is associated with the musical tradition of Kythera, and specifically with the "Messaritiko song".

"Messaritikos" is the one who lives within the country of Kythera (Mesochoritis). The wind that blows within the country is called "Messaritikos".
